About Me

My Background

I came to New York in 2003 as an international artist. Born in Lima Peru, though my family is from Cajamarca in the northwest mountainous region, my childhood was immersed in the culture,

language and agriculture of the Inca civilization. 

My Stats

I received a BFA and MFA from the Fine Arts School of Lima. My public commissions can be seen in and around Lima. I am currently teaching the Sculpting in Wax class at the Art Students League of New York.

My Inspiration

My need to sculpt essentially is a conceptual response at restoring a way of life with respect to the earth. My sculptures blur material boundaries and emerge into transcendent and ephemeral expression
